Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls with Signature Green Aioli (Vegan)

Golden crispy spring rolls filled with fresh seasonal vegetables, aromatic shiitake mushrooms, and crunchy water chestnuts for the perfect balance of flavour and texture. Each pack includes our signature vegan Green Aioli dipping sauce, made with fresh herbs and pineapple for a refreshing sweet-savory finish.

Perfect as a snack, appetiser, or side dish for any Asian-inspired meal.

Optional add-on available: Extra Signature Green Aioli (Vegan) dipping sauce sachet (40g).


Cooking Instructions

Cook from frozen for best results.

Shallow Fry

  1. Heat enough vegetable oil in a pan for shallow frying (sunflower or coconut oil recommended).
  2. Once oil is hot, gently place spring rolls into the pan and reduce heat to medium.
  3. Fry in batches for 6–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towel before serving.

Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
  2. Lightly brush spring rolls with vegetable oil.
  3. Arrange in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  4. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.

Ingredients

Wrapper: Wheat flour (gluten), water, coconut oil, salt.
Filling: Seasonal vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, onion, sugar, salt.
Dipping sauce: Fresh pineapple, coconut cream, herbs, seasoning.

Allergens: Wheat (gluten).
Produced in a kitchen that also handles shellfish, egg, nuts, and soy (oyster sauce).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Do you have a physical store

Yes we do in Salt River, Cape Town. Feel free to come in and browse and chat to one of our friendly staff if you need help with cooking or choosing the right flavour dumpling for you. 

 

2. Are you available nationwide? 

Home Bao's kitchen is in Cape Town. We now have stockist in Western Cape, KZN and Gauteng. Please check our stockist page to find a store closest to you.

3. How long can I keep the dumplings in my freezer? 

Just because our dumplings are frozen, doesn't mean that they are any less fresh or healthy. We suggest you eat them within 4 weeks (if you can resist them for that long!). Shelf life of 6 months from date of production.

4. Do I need to defrost my dumplings? 

Frozen dumplings have to be cooked from frozen. They should go straight from the freezer to the pan or pot. 

5. Do you cater for events and special occasions?

Yes, but we need a minimum of 2 weeks' notice. 

6. Do the dumplings contain any allergens? 

Potential allergens are dairy, gluten, nuts, soya, egg, crustaceans and fish.
